The wider Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for the regulatory reporting requirements for LME Clear and LME. The main regulations covered are EMIR, MiFID II and SFTR.
The Regulatory Reporting Change team sits within the wider Regulatory Reporting team and have specific responsibility for any legislative and rule changes that could impact the regulatory environment for the LME Group. It also performs analysis of current regulatory reports with the aim to improve the data quality in the LME Group’s regulatory reporting and is responsible for remediation activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyse and document new reporting requirements
Investigate anomalies and ensure that the issue is fully understood, and solutions are identified as to how to resolve the issue going forward
Perform remediation activities including back reporting and process improvement design
Collaborate with Business Analysts and other stakeholders on regulatory reporting projects
Working with the Data Strategy Program and Data team to assist in establishing the reporting framework on data quality relating to regulatory reporting, to ensure data quality standards and metrics are of high quality and standard
Training and knowledge sharing of new regulatory reporting changes
Support the Regulatory Reporting team with testing of regulatory reporting changes
Academic and Professional Qualifications Required
Likely to have a degree but not essential
Level of Experience
3+ years’ experience working in a financial reporting or controls environment
Experience in the regulatory reporting environment
Overall (end to end) understanding and/or working experiences of exchange and CCP services
Skills set and Core Competencies Required for Role
Knowledge of the regulatory environment and requirements in relation to a Clearing House and Exchange
Analytical and problem solving mind-set
High attention to detail
Good skills in working with PCs and on-line systems, especially MS Excel
Programming skills and Power BI knowledge a strong advantage
Ability to follow procedures, identify problems and follow up on resolution
Ability to manage a task from start to finish in on a timely basis
Knowledge of the financial markets
Good verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Good level of both internal and external customer service skills
