Job Description

For our Fleet Management department, we are implementing a new software solution for the vessel maintenance management. In this system, all the maintenance jobs, schedules, procedures are recorded. The system is quite new and in development which creates a lot of requests for changes, these changes need to be prioritized, planned, managed and implemented. The Release Engineer for the Vessel Maintenance system, oversees that these changes are implemented correctly by coordinating, planning and validating these software changes.

Your responsibilities as a Release Engineer Vessel Maintenance Management System are:

• Change Request Management: Initiate the process with change requests and prioritize them in collaboration with Functional Application Management.
• Coordination with Supplying Parties: Coordinate the changes with supplying parties such as our software vendor, internal IT teams for integration and data management.
• Test Progress Monitoring: Monitor the progress of testing to ensure the changes meet the required standards and specifications.
• Implementation Planning: Plan the implementation of validated software changes.

Your qualities
You can make your mark as release engineer Vessel Maintenance management system if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ relevant work experience as a release engineer or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience with the ITIL change management process.
