The Role
We are looking for an insightful, proactive Analytics Engineer to help us in our next phase of growth. If you’re excited about building models in dbt, generating business-critical insights, pursuing complex problems and influencing our financial strategy as we scale, then this is the role for you!
No challenge is too small -- or too large! You’ll work in our Finance team, reporting to our Data Scientist, and with significant exposure to our CFO, CPO and teams across the company, including Treasury, Engineering and Markets. 
The role is full-time and hybrid. We have a new office in Borough Market, London – the Finance team generally gathers in person at least twice a week.

Responsibilities

• Improve and extend our mission critical financial models in dbt
• Own BaU financial data processes, partnering with various stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate insights
• Redesign our key financial dashboards as we scale our operations and add new products
• Become a Financial Data SME – someone who understands the in’s and out’s of our monthly numbers, and is able to take initiative to dig into/solve analytics issues proactively
• Contributes to our cross-functional analytics community – e.g. by peer reviewing code or sharing knowledge at our weekly meetups

Requirements

• 2+ years working in an analytical role at a financial institution or tech startup
• Strong SQL skills, and able to handle large & complex data structures from multiple sources
• Experience with dbt preferred; proficiency with Python or R a plus
• Experience building dashboards with business intelligence tools, such as Looker or Mode
• Able to work at pace with stakeholders
• Combines an eye for detail, with a pragmatic attitude to getting things done, and a ‘no task too small’ mentality
• The ability to work independently and balance priorities
• The right to work in London
