Offshore Coordinator at

Job Descrption

Imagine a future where you’re part of a critical function coordinating technicians, vessels, and helicopters operating on world-record breaking offshore windfarms.

Join us in this role where you’ll enable safe transit and access to offshore installations to perform operations and maintenance working in our control room in Grimsby. You’ll be responsible for executing vessel and helicopter movements outlined in the plans and schedules delivered by planning and scheduling functions. You’ll also focus on vessel and people tracking and cover operational control under our safe system of work. Offshore Coordinators work on a shift pattern of seven days on shift followed by seven days off, covering both day and night shifts on a rotating basis.

You’ll be part of Offshore Coordination where you, together with your colleagues, will be coordinating traffic control. You’ll be part of a friendly and dynamic team with colleagues who are professional, supportive, dedicated, and always looking to improve the way we work, in order to provide the best service possible. As a team, we work closely supporting each other, embracing opportunities for change in order to influence the best and most efficient way of working.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • coordinating emergency responses, responding to radio communications, and escalating to local emergency response team lead or country level emergency response, as appropriate
  • being responsible for vessel or helicopter traffic control as per agreed coordination protocols
  • managing people, vessel, and communications tracking through communications log or automatic people or vessel tracking system
  • acting as operational controller under the wind turbine safety rules
  • operating the offshore management system ensuring all offshore personnel have the correct certification and the creation of pax lists if required by site or regional management.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have excellent communication skills
  • are IT literate, and have experience with the Microsoft Office package
  • have the ability to multi-task
  • are fluent in both written and spoken English
  • are able to reach our Grimsby Hub within one hour.
