Field Service and Test Engineer
OBJECTIVE
Along with 3 other engineers, support our customers base at their facilities and on-site, with fabrication support, audits, inspections and trainings. Potentially across the United Kingdom but more generally in the Central and South areas.
Be the engineer responsible for the good achievement of local products testing, for both the core offer and building projects.
Responsibilities
- Fabrication training for Hydro building systems products
- Toolbox talks for installation of the products
- Periodic site audits and inspections
- All activities must be subject to proper filing in our CRM system and report writing.
- Handle the various testing to be carried out for core offer and project.
- Assist Hydro’s workshop technician, liaise with the testing center, coordinate the test (glass orders etc), attend the testing and ensure the good reporting of the results
- Advise and support internal and external customers for the completion of tests
- Work collaboratively within the technical team and other departments
Your Experience & Skills
- Broad expertise in curtain walling, windows and doors including technical principles, mechanics, acoustics, etc.
- Broad experience of product testing, knowledge of the testing standards
- Ability to set and track project milestones and deliverables
- Problem solving skills, with ability to think laterally.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ideally an Autocad user
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Understanding of production in factory setting.
- Understanding of installation on building site
- Full driver’s license (Company estate care would be provided)
