Job Title: Insights Manager

Reports to: Director of Research and Data Science

Location: Paddington (hybrid)

Role Summary:

Kooth is dedicated to evidence based practice and data driven development, and this role is central to Kooth achieving its missions, being responsible for the delivery of data analysis and insights within Kooth, for the UK and US services.

Being an Insights Manager at Kooth means having an in-depth understanding of the business needs and strategy alongside the current data model, driving innovation and continuous improvement of the use and value of data and insights within the organisation.

The role sits within the integral function of Research and Data Science, and works alongside the Clinical, Operational, Research, Commercial and Product Development teams, enabling analysis of performance, demonstrating outcomes and evidencing value of the service.

What you’ll do/Main Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management:

  • Working alongside function leads, strategically plan insights initiatives which deliver the greatest impact towards the company objectives
  • Oversee the effective programme management of insights-led and insights enabled projects, collaborating across functions to ensure alignment on opportunities, priorities and issues.

Targeted Insights Delivery:

  • Manage the analysts to drive evidence based product development through analysis of service user behaviour
  • Enable commercial success through delivery of insights and narrative aligned to strategic communication
  • Manage insights team's support of the research team in the delivery of Clinical and Economic Evaluations
  • Ensure clinical and service delivery processes can be optimised through the provision of data, insights and recommendations
  • Identify and manage the implementation of change plans leading to effective use of data across functions

Data Model Optimisation:

  • Work alongside data strategy leads to optimise the data model and continuously improve the reporting solution and data architecture

People Management and Leadership:

  • Oversee the data analysts in their individual career pathways, developing their skillsets according to business and personal development needs, continuously improving the value and intelligence of insights
  • Be a key player in Kooth's data strategy, ethics and policies, working across functions to ensure data practice meets required standards
  • Line management of the data analysts who work across the different functions at Kooth, developing their skill set and thus also driving optimal quality and effectiveness of team output.

Dashboard & reporting delivery:

  • Oversee the build and optimisation of dashboards and reports, leveraging best in class visualisation techniques that provide data and insights that lead to growth and innovation

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant subject such as Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
  • Great communicator in all forms, including translating complex ideas and findings into clear and easy to understand formats and visuals.
  • A track record of optimising operational efficiency through system and process analysis, within a fast-paced services organisation.
  • Experience in web analytics, conversion rate optimisation, online user behaviour, multivariate testing and analysis of experiments, to support website and product development.
  • Able to build relationships and influence at all levels of an organisation.
  • Proactive and can-do approach, with a willingness to tackle difficult problems with innovative solutions.
  • Experience in a range of tools and languages for databases and analytics, including BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Python and Tableau.
  • Proven ability of translating business requirements into insights projects and actionable tasks.
  • Able to evaluate the pros and cons of potential solutions or conflicting priorities to determine optimal plans.
  • Experience in managing a successful team, with a desire to coach and develop individuals according to theirs and the business needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly, managing hours and workload across US & UK timezones.
