Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):Spry Methods is searching for an Accounting Intern to join our team in McLean, VA.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
Must have basic accounting knowledge
Must have the ability to pay attention to detail
Get trained in accounting job duties to start with the accounts payable function
Receive, code, enter, and route for approval of all vendor invoices.
Review employee expense reports for compliance with policies including JTR Compliance, proper receipts, documentation, and manager signature approval.
Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting department.
Willing to learn and assist with other areas of accounting function as needed.
Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
Potential opportunity of intern position changed to a full-time position based on department's need.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
Current student actively working towards a Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Eligibility for a Security Clearance
Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
