Climate Arc is a philanthropically funded non-profit organization, accelerating climate action by helping unlock the trillions of dollars of private capital required to meet global climate targets. Established in 2022 our work aims to provide financial decision-makers with the tools, data and skillsets needed to direct capital to the right solutions at speed and scale, while our grantmaking programme supports a global ecosystem of non-profit organisations to deliver impactful interventions. About the opportunity

Are you an experienced Strategic Communications Manager with your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the corporate transition and climate finance space? Do you want to play a pivotal role in developing narratives, messaging and content that deliver meaningful climate action across the world?  

This new role sits at the heart of the organisation, ensuring effective communication across our key stakeholder group of financial institutions and corporate alliances, as well as key partners including grantees and funders.  

You’ll be adept at communicating complex topics to different audiences, crafting messages in various formats, so that we can build strong relationships and drive our common vision on addressing climate change.  

You’ll use powerful visuals to enhance the narratives, so that complex concepts can be distilled into materials which convey key messages to wider audiences. You’ll create content in-house, leveraging the work of the Research and Impact teams, and work with external agencies on data visualization and design.  

You’ll be a natural collaborator, working closely with team members across the organization. You will help elevate the collective narrative of the ecosystem by engaging with partners and alliances to maximise the impact of our work. 

What you will be doing:  

  • Working closely with the Chief Executive and Leadership to interpret Arc’s vision, mission, theory of change and strategy  
  • Engaging extensively with your counterparts in the corporate transition and climate finance ecosystem 
  • Absorbing the latest developments, trends and shifts in the landscape of climate finance globally 
  • Positioning Arc as a thought-leader and solutions provider within the ecosystem  
  • Shaping Arc’s key messaging, developing and executing compelling narratives and communications, and enhancing our unique offering 
  • Using storytelling techniques to engage and inspire diverse audiences continuously 

Requirements

The ideal candidate has: 

Required: 

  • Proven experience in strategic communications, preferably in a financial services or management consulting setting. 
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Ability to think critically, analyse data, and synthesize complex information. 
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail. 

Desirable: 

  • Knowledge and experience in one or more of the climate change solutions, financial services, philanthropy ecosystems

Location

For this role we can offer a remote first working option in the UK, ideally within commutable distance of London to allow for ample face to face time with our Chief Executive.


Remuneration

Depending on location, experience and demonstrated capability, the salary range for this role is £55,000-80,000.
