Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits

The Role

As a Lead PL/SQL Engineer at LDMS, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our PL/SQL-based applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for our partners and clients. Your responsibilities will include participating in the full software development lifecycle, ensuring code quality and scalability, and collaborating with management and architects to drive improvements in development practices and technology.

In addition to technical expertise, we are looking for someone who is proactive, a strong leader, and can mentor and guide junior members of the team. We have a stimulating and ambitious work environment with opportunities to work on innovative projects and expand into new markets.

Key Responsibilities

Day to Day

• Leadership of a team of engineers.

• Problem solving and finding good solutions.
• Provide help/guidance to colleagues and business colleagues.
• Supporting deliveries to ensure that we deliver on business commitments.
• Continual improvement.  Identify efficiencies and improvement in ways of working.

Requirements

• Strong experience with PL/SQL development
• Previous experience in a lead or senior engineering role
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance
• Expertise in code quality assurance and scalability
• Ability to work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
• Ability to drive improvements in development practices and technology
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good verbal, written and communication skills
