The Opportunity 
The Project Manager will manage all aspects of medium to large engineering services proposals and projects including commercial and technical risks, cost, schedule, and quality.  

The projects will include conventional power generation, grid (substation, transmission and distribution), and process projects.  Broad experience in multiple industries, and the ability to apply project management principles to new technologies and diverse locations will be paramount.

This professional will be located in the Dubai office and execute projects throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Please note: This role has expectations for 25% travel to project and client sites. When not travelling, this role will be hybrid: 1 day per week remote, 4 days per week in-office.

The Team
Our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region provides our clients with feasibility studies through to full scale EPC execution level projects.  Project technologies vary and include conventional generation, waste-to-energy, solar, onshore wind, BESS, hydrogen, LNG, substation, and transmission.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of engineering, procurement and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Supports all phases of the project lifecycle from business development support, early studies through to full scale EPC execution,

Our project managers are responsible for the overall bottom-line performance of assigned projects.
 
•    Actively promotes Black & Veatch's safety culture.
•    Serves as the key resource for executive management advisory on overall project health.
•    Oversees planning, developing, issuing, and progress tracking of all assigned projects from notice-to-proceed through commercial operation.
•    Identify and resolves problems or issues related to design information, schedule, change management, safety, and quality.
•    Manages escalated problems or issues.
•    Owns commercial recovery process and close-out.
•    Manages the application of quality and control procedures.
•    Partners with sales directors and client account managers in strategic planning
•    Engages in Client relationships and business development activities
•    Provides local talent training and development

Management Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences or equivalent academic qualification.
•    10+ years of conventional generation, grid and/or process experience 
•    Previous EPC project management proposal and execution experience in Europe and the Middle East
•    Experience being the single point-of-contact, including managing the bottom-line, for multiple services projects from cradle-to-grave.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
