This role is responsible for developing and executing QA plans and supporting the strategic approach. Technical experts as well as responsible for managing teams and coaching others.
- Responsible for enabling the delivery of QAT analysis services for projects, implementing QAT strategies. Enabling the use of analytical techniques including risk-based testing and test analysis and design techniques where appropriate.
- Ensuring and applying the effective use of exploratory testing techniques, including the use of test charters and timeboxing. All quality aspects will be covered, including accessibility, resilience, compatibility, integration, and security, for example.
- Enabling the evaluation of aspects of user experience, accessibility, compatibility and basic load and performance where appropriate.
- Using a broad range of tools, including open source and cloud based. Enabling the delivery of testing typically using agile and CI/CD methods and ‘automation by default’.
- Advising on testing practices to support the digital by default service standard, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on user needs and user centred design.
