About this role

What will you be responsible for?
To safely and efficiently operate the leaching circuits and systems supporting process operations.  Comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and Newmont policies and procedures.

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

• Install heap leach piping and perform basic leaching operations with assistance.
• Able to recognize equipment or systems operating outside normal ranges.
• Only operate equipment or systems for which training has been provided.
• Perform all pre-shift, pre-op and workplace inspections as required.
• Communicate all pertinent information during a shift as required.
• Follow good housekeeping practices.
• Complete all necessary paperwork in a thorough and timely manner.
•  Employees will perform other duties as directed and needed by the company to ensure optimal safe operation.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Here is what we need to see from you!
Education:

•   0-1 year previous heap leach experience.

Experience:

• Mobile equipment experience is preferred but not required.
•   Trained and passed circuit test for Basic Leach Pad Operator Circuit within 120 days of hiring date.

Skills and Abilities:

•  Able to work as a productive member of a team.
•  Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions/elevation.
   

Working Conditions and Location

• The mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations.
• Weather conditions can change frequently and can become severe at times.
• Arrive at the work site with appropriate gear suitable for weather conditions.

This position has multiple levels (which may range from level 1 up to level 6). The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is USD $30.70- 43.49
