Job Summary

The role of AR Analyst has a variety of responsibilities in the Accounts Receivable areas including Credit, Collections, Deductions and Cash Application. This position reports to the Director, North America Shared Service Finance and collaborates with all A/R departments, finance leadership and sales teams. The ideal candidate for this role is results focused, exhibits a strong sense of curiosity, and maintains a high level of positive energy. They should be comfortable working with large datasets and turning data into meaningful and actionable reports. They should also have a strong interest in collaborative problem solving and exhibit a strong aptitude for system and user processes.

The individual in this role will be involved in running month-end close reports, performing calculations, prepare A/R aging analysis, assist the A/R team in prioritizing collections by organizing and reporting A/R data, and measure A/R performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Run aging of receivables reports on a regular basis and communicate reports out.
  • Support collections team members with reporting to assist in prioritization of work.
  • Month-End Close:
    • Perform calculations & analysis to determine appropriate bad debt reserves.
    • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for AR accounts.
  • Cross train with the credit department to act as temporary backup as needed
  • Assist with Audits and SOX Control reviews related to A/R as needed.
  • Assist with Ad Hoc reports and analysis as requested by A/R team.
  • Other A/R activities and projects, including process improvements through automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or significant A/R analysis experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting roles related to Accounts Receivable in large consumer goods organization.
  • Detail-orientated with an ability to be guided by the bigger picture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak and present data and reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignment while consistently meeting deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate large datasets, comfortable with complexity.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional Finance, Sales, and Operations teams, including Audit, Customer Care, Sales Management, et.al.
  • Ability to keep all vendor and customer information confidential internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Experience with various data analysis and reporting tools a plus.
  • SAP and FSCM experience a plus.
