Your Responsibilities

 

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Order Fulfillment Process - 7R for JD Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will support/lead engineering projects to improve safety, quality, and efficiency through torque tooling improvements, capital investment projects, JDAAT expansion/deployment, DLBT simulated line balancing.  In addition, you will:

 

  • Support the Engineering organization through key initiatives focused on Smart-Connected Factory and Technology capabilities.
  • Achieve CI200 targets for safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency. 
  • Support implementation of CI engineering changes during production.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Two or more years experience working directly with JDAAT software.
  • One or more years of experience working with Dynamic Line Balancing Software balancing assembly lines.
  • One or more years of experience with the CI Engineering Change process.
  • One or more years working with capital budgeting and capital equipment acquisition.
  • Experience and training with MPPlanner software.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Two or more years of experience with assembly line process design; such as routings, setup and implementation, material presentation, and visual management tools. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) or comparable software. 
  • Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and work measurement.
  • Previous experience with the design of tooling to improve manufacturing processes.

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent work experience.
