Job Description

Summary:

Keeps plant in clean and orderly condition. Clean offices, bathrooms, locker rooms, outside of plant and all other areas assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs for the plant.
• Keeps glass clean in the lobby.  
• Empties trash, garbage containers and recycle containers.
• Maintains building including office and plant break rooms, Bathrooms, Locker rooms, performing minor routine painting when needed.
• Maintains the outside of the facility including parking lots.
• Prepares Gatorade for the plant during hot weather.
• Distributes deliveries to the plant.
• Notifies management concerning needed repairs including lighting, plumbing and electrical damage.
• Cleans debris from sidewalk.
• Empties cigarette containers.
• Helps move files to the storage area.
• Wraps boards for packaging line.
• Safely operator forklift to dispose of trash.
• All other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs miscellaneous assignments as directed.

Critical Demands:

• Squat, kneel, bend over or stoop frequently to perform job duties.
• Reach or extend forward for long periods of time to perform job duties.

• Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as schedules, SOPs, EOPs, work rules, etc.
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral instructions.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Stamina to work in extreme temperatures.
• Ascend and descend stairs to reach work areas.
• Communicate verbally or in writing with others.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Vacuum
• Mop
• Cleaning Supplies
• Various small hand tools
• Personal protective equipment
• Push behind sweeper
• Ride on sweeper

Work Environment:

• Periodic temperature extremes, including temperatures over 90 degrees.
• Some work areas located on 2nd or 3rd floor.
• Concrete floors
• Exposure to high levels of noise
• Exposure to dust
• Periodic exposure to fumes from paints and chemicals used in coating processes.
• Use of respirator required while performing some job functions.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school level reading and writing, visual acuity to read labels, documents and instructions.
• Ability to work in an industrial or warehouse environment with forklifts, drum trucks, etc.
• Ability to safely operate small manual and electric hand tools.

Additional Information

Hours are Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm.

$18.50/HR
