Job Description
Our valued client is looking for a skilled Data Center Operations Manager to oversee the efficient and effective functioning of our data center facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center management, infrastructure, and operations. They will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our data center operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data center operations role
- A strong background in network administration
- Ability to troubleshoot Layer 1 and Layer 2 network issues, BGP, and switch configurations
- Strong linux skills including Navigating the system’s directories and filing system Manipulating files in the Linux shell
- User permission configuration Package installation and software management
- Ability to identify and apply different filesystem types Using Linux commands for process management
- Basic troubleshooting and debugging Bash or other scripting
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Successful communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in a data center operations role
- Experience with high performance computer applications
- Asset management skills
