The Senior Events Manager is a key member of the operations and leadership team. The Senior Events Manager must be able to think strategically while also being hands-on in overseeing the day-to-day execution of the agreed upon strategy with a focus on clients, people, and operational excellence. Their primary responsibility is to advance and execute private hire events and corporate events within the London portfolio to the highest standards of quality and service, and may support brand activations as needed. Working closely with the Sales, Operations, Finance, Security, and Technical Teams, the Senior Events Manager drives all planning and logistics for events and activation, ensuring a seamless guest experience while maximising profitability.

Requirements
Lead the Events Team in event advancing, delivery, and on-site execution to ensure exceptional levels of service and seamless operations for all aspects of events (including private hire, activations, and overall event delivery)
Partner with the Sales and Operations teams to develop standards for event execution across the London market and sites
Maximise all Meeting & Events Sales revenue opportunities through up selling of function items
Assist the leadership team on budget builds, competitive set analysis and research, and forecast updates as the business requires
Deliver events at or above contract revenue and within budgeted and contracted margin
Conduct planning meetings and site visits for events with clients and internal partners
Produce and update event briefing documents on required timelines to meet licensing requirements and company standards.
Ensure all managers and staff have the information they need to execute successful, effective and profitable events across the site
Use and review the venue playbook in the planning stages, to ensure all premises licence conditions, SOPs, Health and Safety requirements and standard event pro formas are fulfilled. Ensure event briefing documents are properly executed throughout the planning, operation and evaluation stages
Plan staffing levels effectively for all relevant departments effectively to ensure fulfilment of contracted requirements as well as venue Health and Safety compliance
Utilise in-house technology to effectively manage advancing and delivery requirements.
Stay close to all interactions with clients and customers during events to ensure customer satisfaction at all times
Foster and maintain relationships within the events industry-including clients, vendors and agencies
Partner with Finance to manage event budgets and cost reconciliation. Deliver budgeted operational costs and improvements where possible. Recommend any measures for improvements to profitability and cost savings
Lead weekly internal event meetings, sharing feedback on previous events and providing information on events in the near future
Facilitate post event debriefs with a focus on improving processes and increasing efficiency
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS + PREREQUISITES
5+ year in operations and event management in a leadership role, ideally gained in a multipurpose venue.
3+ years of experience building, managing, and developing teams including: salaried management team and hourly employees
Proven track record in the planning and execution of complex, high profile events.
Experience with event management systems and processes and financial tracking including budgeting and forecasting processes.
High standard of written and oral communication.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and variable days depending on business needs
Hospitality industry/ event management qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent/above are desirable.
Personal licence holder required.
First aid qualification and training as fire warden are highly desirable.
