Job Descrption

As a Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead projects for an internal, corporate team that supports our infrastructure and desktop initiatives. You will manage projects of small to medium size and complexity, following standardized Telligen project management processes. You will oversee all project-related disciplines required for the successful and timely completion of the project. You will assist other project management personnel with project administration, reporting, etc. You will develop effective relationships with internal and external customers.

Essential Functions

• You will develop and oversee all project-related disciplines required for the successful and timely completion of the project.
• You will communicate effectively and manages relationships with key stakeholders including external customers, executive management, project sponsors, vendors, and project team members.
• You will coordinate and facilitate teams in the development of plans, goals, and objectives for completion of a project. Ensuring teams are accountable for commitments while eliminating roadblocks to allow the team to be successful.
• You will manage customer’s expectations with regard to projects and works with the customer to turn ideas into future business opportunities.
• You will provide support and assistance to the PPMO, including but not limited to project administration, metrics, reporting, views, resource allocation, and access rights.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business or related field, and/or equivalent training and/or experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing projects using a formal project management methodology.
• Ability to travel locally and overnight up to 10%.
• Ability to come into the West Des Moines, IA office 2-3 days per week based on contract needs.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Experience with CMMI or similar SDLC methodologies is preferred.
• Agile experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects with JIRA and Confluence preferred.
• Strong communication skills with team members as well as executive stakeholders preferred.
