What you will be doing
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler role is responsible for planning, which includes the obtaining and preparation of resources, scheduling, which includes coordinating with all site groups for the actions, and the execution of all preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance tasks with a focus on minimizing interruptions to production operations.
Direct and monitor Maintenance crews and their scheduled work to ensure Plant production and the associated equipment are kept in a manner conducive to achieving site financial goals
Key Responsibilities
Who we are looking for
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED. Advanced degree/certification(s) technical and/or maintenance related discipline preferred.
At least five (5) years of industrial experience in a chemical plant or other related industry experience.
At least three (3) years maintenance and supervisory experience.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years maintenance planner/scheduler experience.
Working knowledge of plant equipment (control systems, pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation, etc.)
Background in maintenance and repair of equipment in order to effectively plan daily maintenance department activities.
Experience working and managing in a PSM site. PHA and MOC experience strongly preferred.
Must have strong and experienced project management skills.
Minimum three (3) years MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating materials) Inventory Management Experience.
Technical Knowledge
Strong “troubleshooting/diagnostic” skills.
Experience working in both batch and continuous operations.
Knowledge of Federal/State EPA and OSHA compliance standards.
Six Sigma knowledge and training a plus.
Must have experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Must have experience in stores MRO management; Inventory Control.
Work Skills and Abilities
Must be able to identify and prioritize multiple projects and perform work with a constant awareness of improving processes.
Demonstrated capacity to analyze and troubleshoot operational and equipment problems and provide reasonable and accurate recommendations and solutions.
Must be able to present complex situations in a concise manner.
Proven experience utilizing work management process to plan and schedule maintenance work.
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and customers
Able to work with a diverse group from different backgrounds and different disciplines
Capable of taking leadership responsibilities while maintaining relationships with colleagues and indirect reports
Capacity to engage in conflict management
Language Skills
Must have exceptional presentation skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
