We are currently looking for a Production Setter to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
The role
Reporting to the Product Lead - Fittings, the Production Setter will work at our Doncaster site working on a 5-day working shift pattern, working 12-hour shifts - days (06:00 to 18:00) and nights (18:00 to 06:00) with incorporated rest days. As the Production Setter you will be responsible for the manufacture of hot and cold product to strict quality standards.
The main duties and responsibilities of your role are to:
- Set up, operate and control production machinery in accordance with appropriate process conditions
- Ensure that the product remains within quality control specifications by sampling product, testing product and making suitable and appropriate process adjustments when required
- Maintain necessary documentation including shift report, process logs, quality check sheets and other records as required
- Basic tooling work on hot and cold production processes
- Trouble shooting across the hot and cold production processes
- Autonomous maintenance on all hot and cold production processes
- Basic fault finding and troubleshooting on all hot and cold production processes
- Mentor Apprentices and assistants within the Extrusion / Moulding departments
To be successful in the role you will have/be:
- Injection Moulding Technician level 3 or equivalent
- RJG Master Moulder / G&A qualification would be advantageous
- Knowledge of scientific moulding procedures would be advantageous
- Robot knowledge and setup
- Health and Safety processes and practices
- Process Controls, Quality Standards and Condition Setting
- Understanding of all Tooling and Equipment
- Understanding of Polymer Characteristics
- Good knowledge of the production processes within the Manufacturing sector
- Basic PC skills
- Experience of injection moulding
- Pressure sensor experience would be advantageous
- Natural ability to motivate and lead teams in an ever-changing environment
- Effective organisational skills, written and verbal communication skills
