Job Title: Regional Sales Director, Endoscopy – Urology & ENT
Reports To: Area Sales Director Eastern US, Endoscopy – Urology/ENT

We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Director for our Urology/ENT division. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the sales activities for Ambu Endoscopy (URO/ENT) products (call points will include Hospitals, Hospital owned Clinics, Surgery Centers and Private Practices) while developing a team that consistently exceeds market growth expectations, and who prioritizes culture and performance management to expand Ambu’s market leading position in single use Endoscopy.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Lead, coach and manage your team to consistently meet or exceed regional sales targets.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture by providing leadership, coaching, training, and performance management to Territory Managers and Clinical Trainers.
Ensure all team members are maximizing hospital relationships by calling on all stakeholders including Administration, All clinical stakeholders, supply chain, infection prevention, risk management, BioMed, Sterile Processing, etc. each day to educate on single use and Ambu’s Value Proposition.
Provide high levels of communication with Endoscopy Sales Management team, HR and all applicable corporate support teams.
Ensure region pipelines are robust and updated consistently in Salesforce.com to ensure alignment with the Sales strategy.
Provide consistent and accurate forecasting that is updated on an ongoing basis in Salesforce.com
Enhance team proficiency with Health Economics and other strategic tools to accelerate customer acquisition.
Maintain sales expense budget as set by corporate management, including management of all personal and rep expenses as well as assigned budgets within the region.
Provide reporting as needed, which may include but not limited to: a monthly report, demand planning, sales forecasting, sample tracking, weekly activity reports, and comprehensive pipelines.
Present quarterly business reviews regarding the state of the Region on a quarterly basis to the management team.
Recommend and implement corporate sales strategy needed for complete region coverage and achievement of sales objectives.
Collaborate with Human Resources to manage staffing processes including recruitment, retention, and performance management up to termination of team members.
Maintain regular communications with distribution partners, the Sales department, and other departments necessary to ensure attainment of objectives and facilitate problem resolution.
Perform and document any investigation regarding the disposition of any non-conforming process or component, and its effects on products manufactured and distributed by Ambu Inc., and relay results to the appropriate personnel.
Review technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
Ensure that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
Work closely with marketing and corporate accounts team to develop and drive single-use endoscopy into target accounts
Complete essential reporting of upcoming monthly forecasts, clinical training calendars, and prior month’s closes, losses, opportunities, and challenges.
Use standard method of transportation to travel to client locations.
Perform written communications to correspond with clients and company personnel.
Perform verbal communications to clients and company personnel.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PPT, and CRM (Salesforce).
Performance Criteria:
Exemplify strong leadership skills through meticulous pre-call planning and expectation setting.
Coach and develop team members ensuring a minimum of 1-2 field rides per individual each quarter.
Engage in follow-up after each field ride to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct biweekly strategic calls to discuss team progress, challenges, and strategies.
Utilize our trademarked sales training platform, Balanced Seller, to drive consistency and enhance team skills and performance.
Drive growth through detailed inspections of business analytics.
Perform regular compensation plan reviews.
Conduct thorough inspections of sales data to identify and capitalize on opportunities, and quickly address potential threats.
Actively engage with team (Territory Managers and Clinical Trainers), Distributors/Dealers, Prospects, Customers, and attend Ambu Regional, Corporate, and National Meetings to assist in sales generation
Travel:
70%+ overnight travel for optimal performance and development and business success
Qualifications /Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of previous medical device sales experience, preferably in Urology and hospital based critical care areas with at least 3 years of experience leading a team of Sales professionals.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management or relevant field with 5 years of experience in a similar type of role, MBA preferred
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid Driver’s License, in good standing.
