What You Will Do:
Administration of all utility social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn.
Plan, develop, implement, and manage strategies for utility social media accounts.
Create and manage a social media content calendar, coordinating with key internal clients.
Working with internal SMEs to create and oversee paid, promoted, and organic social media campaigns in support of company initiatives.
Define KPIs s for social media campaigns, monitor campaign metrics and analyze and report on results.
Delegate issues to the appropriate SME for response and respond to comments on organic posts following customer response matrix.
Review and highlight partnership content that may require amplification on social media.
Assist with the content development and management of three US Utility websites.
Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics.
Keep an eye on social media trends. Daily monitoring through business hours for issues related to operational incidents and protests and escalate issues to the External Communications Consultant.
Communicate effectively to all stakeholders including senior management.
Who You Are:
Required:
Post-secondary university degree or college diploma in communications, business, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field.
Minimum of four (4) years’ experience managing social media platforms – platform administration, sustainment, content and campaign curation and analytics.
Good judgment in determining relevant content for our external audiences.
Exceptional organizational, time management and project management skills.
Exceptional writing skills and ability to bring strategic communications support and value to all projects.
Able to craft interesting and informative communications in a variety of digital formats.
Confident presenting in meetings to a diverse audience, including senior leaders, able to create visually interesting PowerPoints.
Strong MS Office skills.
Organized, able to coordinate content calendars and manage vendor deliverables.
Preferred:
Experience in the natural gas or energy industry
Photoshop skills – editing, resizing, image optimization and color correction.
