As the Manager Environment Operations, this position will be responsible for both technical and team leadership. You will ensure environmental compliance for Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) business units. You will do this by working with internal partners and environment peers to ensure environmental operations meets regulatory compliance.

What you will do:
Leadership:
Lead a team of professionals by setting goals/objectives, coaching & mentoring, follow-up on progress, providing input, removing obstacles, and evaluating outcomes.
Create a psychological safe environment that fosters engagement, inclusion, and high performance.
Operations:
Partnership with field operations on environmental protection for operations and maintenance, repair, and construction to adhere to environmental practices/standards and compliant to regulations.
Consistent implementation of environmental protection and stewardship.
Lead a team of professionals by setting goals/objectives, coaching & mentoring, follow-up on progress, providing input, removing obstacles, and evaluating outcomes.
Integrated strategies and policies, e.g., interpreting, developing, and implementing governmental regulations into company policy and procedures; ensuring overall consistency for environmental matters across Enbridge Gas Transmission; ensuring processes are in place to achieve consistency and share findings with respect to strategies developed to address operational issues; developing, coordinating and ensuring compliance and consistent application of all environmental practices, guidelines, procedures and policies; supporting Public Affairs and Regions in the development and execution of Regional Engagement Plans
Support stakeholder engagement in operating environments or industry associations as required.
Manages and supports the development and monitoring of OPEX.
Reporting:
Conduct Management Reviews and complete required quarterly or annual reports.
Prepare and submit BU required updates/reports and ensure they are complete, accurate and value add.
Responsible for environmental corporate reporting specific to BU- CSR, GHG, emissions and other voluntary disclosure requests.
Streamline and automate reporting processes to the extent possible.
Who you are:
Undergraduate Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree in related field (Environment, Systems Engineering, Science, or related field).
10 years of progressive responsible experience in environment with both operational and project experience, including 8 years of supervision and/or management experience.
Strong management, leadership accountability and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of Gas Distribution and Storage Assets and Operations preferred.
Working Conditions:
Office based.
15-20% travel to field locations, including on-site operational incidents.

Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
